Bishops call for peace in Middle East

The peace statement was endorsed at the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference plenary meeting in Sydney on May 8, 2024.

Support for people escaping the conflict in Israel and Gaza

Hundreds of people who have fled Israel or Gaza have travelled to Australia on Visitor Visas and other short-term visas.... these visas are not designed to support people fleeing conflict.
